awful quite I hope everyone is knocking out miles, I think my wife is going to kill me and my horse, we are riding twice a week covering more than 20 miles a ride mostly all troting, some cantering, I have been sore for about a day after each ride, I do seem to be getting less sore and seem to bounce back a little quicker, I had one of my fastest trots on my new Arab, If the GPS was correct it said 20 mhr? Is that posible? My wife was cantering to keep up with him, I just kept asking him canter and he got to troting faster and faster. strange. Any way hope all or doing the same and do not have the strength to post, Check in soon gota go put body Glide on::giggle::

hahaha! Arabs are BRILLAINT at that! Beleive me... I've been behind them! Just remember the long/once or twice a week rides don't build the muscle, it's the short regular trotting rides that do that lol, I should think you'll be sore for a LONG time if you can't ride regularly. hahaha! Saddle cover anyone? ^___^

iN Endurance we can not just build muscle, we have to build stamina and that is hard to do with trott sets, hearts and lungs have to be built up for the rides as well , my horse has a resting heart rate of 30 beats and at a fast trott 88 beats the only way to raise is with canter or up the mountains at wich point i can hold his rate at about 115 for about 15 minutes then drop to a walk wich then the rate drops down arround 60, i do this this for the entire climb, then work the mountain down or i will jump of and jogg down with him, so short Trott sets Ha , Lester would get more work swatting flys in the field, as far as being sore i ride everyday here on the farm we have hunt horse that have to go as well as my other horse so not sure what you mean about a everyday rider, the training rides are a different animal, you will get sore after 6 hrs in the saddle up and over mountains

I swear, I think I should just give up on my dreams of jumping/showing dressage with my arab and go endurance. he LOVES the trail and he could trot all day...
