I got CJ when we first moved to Az, when i was 16.. She was my first friend.. She was a blue heeler x hound mix.. And she was a great dog.. Very fickle, but a best friend for sure.. When i moved to phoenix two years ago, my mom kept CJ for me, and her and my mom also became the best of buds.. we all adored her..

two nights ago CJ got out of the back yard, she didnt come back... My mom called the pound, no CJ.. finally in a last ditch effort she called the police to see if there had been any reports involving a loose dog.. the dispatch told her no but she would double check... When she came back, she said a dog that had been hit by a car stumbled into one of the motels.. they gave her a blanket and watched her through the night, but she passed away before morning.. it was a blue heeler with a black color with white paws.. It was CJ :(.. My mom just called me and told me, she was crying so hard.. Shes heart broken, and so am i :( I cant believe ill never see CJ again.. I just wanted this to be in memory of her and to tell her i love her and im sorry she suffered, and thank you for being my first and most loyal friend..

Thank you all.. Your words mean alot.. I just got off the phone with my mom again, the police man who responded to the original report came over to ID a picture of her... They confirmed, it was CJ.. I knew it was, but theres still that little bit of hope you cling onto no matter what.. He said she was favoring a leg but she must have had internal injuries.. The owners of the motel kept her comfortable and gave her water and food through the night until she died, of which i am very grateful for.. Thanks again guys. i very much appreciate all of you.. Special thanks to you kit for talking to me while all this was going on

big hugs out to you and your family. I'm glad that Cj was able to make it to a hotel, where at least she was given a warm and loving place for her last hours. dogs are really like family, they are around us, for the good times and the bad times. they are in a sense, another member of the family. I lost my cocker spaniel not long after I moved out of my parents house and into an apartment of my own. I couldn't have any pets, so I had to leave her behind. She had complete liver failure and my parents finally took her into the vet to put her asleep. I must've cried for 3 days straight after hearing the news. dogs are a wonderful part of our lives, and CJ will go on after living a loved life by you and your family.:o
